"Your Premiere Micro-Budget Experience!"

"Micro" Fest 2005

9/27/2005 - LETTERS FROM YOU

Dear TwistedSpine ladies and gentlemen,

Thank you all so much for a great festival. From the moment we arrived at the festival yesterday we felt welcomed and appreciated. And to top it off, we were blown away, shocked and humbled to be selected as the Best Feature Film. We are honored beyond belief, and thankful to have found a great group of indie filmmakers like yourselves. We had a blast at the festival on Sunday, and would have left happy even had we not received the award. We met some great people, shared ideas with them, and were even able to sell a few of our DVDs! :) You can bet Loose Change Entertainment will be back at the festival next year, perhaps with our next feature, Weenie Roast Massacre.

As we were leaving yesterday, someone (sorry, I forget who!) mentioned that we should send some of our artwork along so you can post a link and/or other info about Love & Plutonium on your web site. So, I have attached a couple of jpegs to this missive, including our movie poster and DVD artwork. Let me know if this will work for you.

Once again, thank you so much for your kindness and for your selection of Love & Plutonium as the Best Feature Film. We are honored and feel like we've gained a great new bunch of friends!

Sincerely,
Jeff Priskorn & Jacquie Floyd

Dear TwistedSpine,

I just wanted to say thanks for putting on a good festival. I wasn't able to make it on Saturday when my film Hippie Highway played, but I got to go Sunday and had a really good time. I was very impressed with the level of presentation at the festival. I thought there were some very good speakers and had fun seeing all the films.

Thanks again for all your hard work,
Derek Rimelspach
Director of Hippie Highway

9/26/2005 - WINNER ANNOUNCED

Thanks to everyone who attended our TwistedSpine.com Micro Film Fest this year. The two days of festival screenings found a very appreciative audience, some coming from as far away as Dayton, Philadelphia, and Michigan. While the vendor's area was, at times, sparsely populated, the film screenings and lectures were well-attended with a consistent audience. Taking these things into consideration, TwistedSpine.com Films plans on doing some reformulation in it's festival presentation next year to better emphasize what the festival attendees want. We do appreciate the supportive messages that we have received since the festival as they are confirming that we are on the right track in presenting a top of the line program dedicated to "micro" budget films.

Congratulations to this year's festival winners. The prizes were awarded as follows:

Best Screenplay
"LIFE as the DEAD"
by Tim Bennet

Best Short
"Grim"
by Five Cent Productions
John-Paul Nickel, director

Best Feature
"Love & Plutonium"
by Loose Change Entertainment
Jeff Priskorn, director

A special thanks to all of the filmmakers that presented works to this year's festival. We were truly humbled by the number of submissions that we received and wished that we had room to show each and every one.
